Have you ever heard and see a road that passes through a
building? Me myself never experienced that.
So at the district of Fukushima-ku, Osaka, Japan, the Gate
Tower Building symbolizes the sophistication of Japan technology. Instead of
being a normal office, it also functions as a road that connected to a highway
that has been used by many citizens.
There are the facts about the building;
The most sophisticated
building with 85, 640 meter square.
The original design was
made by Azusa Sekkei, Yamamoto-Nishihara and Kenchiku Sekkei Jimusho.
The construction take about
10 years from 1983 and fully opened on 1992
The building was made by an
established company, Sato Kogya Co. Ltd.
It was made by concrete and
steel structure.

According to Kaushik (2012), the Gate Tower Building is
actually the result of an unusual compromise between the land owner and the
Japanese government. In 1983, the development of the areawas decided upon, but
the building permits were refused because the highway was already being
planned. The property rights’ holders refused to give up and negotiated with
the Hanshin Expressway Corporation for approximately 5 years to reach the
current solution.

Every year, the traffic jammed become more serious due to
the increasing of people in that area because Osaka is a country that being the
third largest town in Japan. Thus, the Japanese government found a solution to
reduce the traffic jammed. After the building was constructed, it seems the
traffic jammed has reduced compare the year before.
All of you can see video of this unique building here.
Enjoy the video, bye!
